Hi ~~first_name~~

Thank you for your interest in the League's advocacy actions! Your voice is essential, and we have two key ways you can make it heard right now.

1. Show Up: NO Kings 2 this Saturday, 18 October

We encourage all interested League members to attend the NO Kings 2 event this Saturday - Check Here for Local Events near you!  Full Details about the event were shared in this month's Members Matters - Link Here)

If you plan to attend, please let us know! This allows League members to coordinate for better presence and safety.

 To Coordinate Your Attendance:

  • Register Here OR Text Mark at 707-701-3399 OR Email AdvocacyLWVMP@gmail.com

  • Provide your name, cell number for texting, and which event you will attend.

Your Safety is Key:  Please review the LWV's Protest Safety Guidance before you go. To stay safe and be prepared, consider bringing hats, bandanas, and masks for sun protection and obfuscation. We want to be seen and heard—safely!

2. Get Engaged: Advocacy Committee Meeting

Want to get more involved in planning and executing our advocacy work? Join our next Advocacy Committee Meeting!

When: Thursday, October 23, from 5:30–7:00 PM

Who: All members are welcome, whether you just want to listen, ask specific questions, or dive right into the work.

We are actively seeking help in the following areas:

  • Communications: Help send out timely messages and action alerts to members.

  • Observer Corps: Protect democracy by monitoring our local government.

  • Election Cycle Efforts: Partner with LWVAZ on Get-out-the-Vote, VOTE411, and Ballot Analysis.

  • Committee Support: Help us manage and execute the committee's work!

Register Here for the Zoom link and add it to your calendar!

Thank you for everything you do for advocacy. Together, we'll ensure our voice is heard!
